You may see an “unknown publisher” message

Because MyStash is a newer app, Windows SmartScreen may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen the first time you open the installer. This is a publisher-verification notice — not a virus warning — and it’s common for newer, smaller software that Windows hasn’t catalogued yet. It does not mean MyStash is unsafe.

  1. Click More info
  2. Click Run anyway
  3. That’s it — the installer opens and you’re set up in under a minute.

Prefer to verify it first?

Every release publishes a SHA-256 checksum, so you can confirm your download is genuine and hasn’t been altered in transit before you run it.
